About Me and How I Work

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families in Puyallup, Washington. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy, allowing clients flexibility while maintaining a supportive and consistent therapeutic relationship.

I approach therapy from a relational and systems-based perspective, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by relationships, family patterns, and life experiences. My work is informed by training at the basic level in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and 42 hours of Internal Family Systems (IFS) training, with additional IFS training planned for 2026. These approaches support clients in understanding their internal experiences, processing distress, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

When working with couples, I use an attachment-based lens informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners better understand emotional needs, strengthen secure connection, and improve communication and responsiveness within the relationship.

I earned my graduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University (PLU). In addition to my clinical training, my lived experience as a parent of four children has deepened my understanding of family dynamics, life transitions, and the complexities of relationships across different stages of life.

I offer in-person sessions in an office space that can accommodate family systems of up to eight members, making it possible to work with couples, families, and multi-generational systems when appropriate. My goal is to provide a collaborative, respectful, and compassionate environment where clients feel supported as they work toward improved communication, connection, and emotional well-being.

Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, I value connection to nature and balance in daily life. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and gardening, which help ground and restore me.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is my favorite. No matter how complex or messy it may seem on the outside, relationships are as simple as two people desperately trying to be safe and connected. With relational therapy I help couples find hope, restore bonds, and rekindle joy in their relationships. And let's make sure the sex is good too.

Individual Counseling

Relational therapy and counseling means that my relationship with you, my client, will be our best, most important tool for your healing. Before anything else, we will establish safety, trust, and connection. Then together we will uncover the path of healing for your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Family Counseling

Secure bonding means we are neither afraid to draw close, nor fearfully clinging tight. I can help you build family relationships that lead to emotional health and healing for every individual at every age. I especially enjoy working with multiracial and multicultural families as well as families and parents from conservative and religious backgrounds seeking to stay connected to their LGBTQIA+ children.

Virtual and In-person Meetings

Select the ease and comfort of virtual appointments from anywhere in Washington state, opt for the in-person therapy experience at my Puyallup location, or choose a mix between the two.

Men's mental health, telehealth, virtual

To the men:

Why a section just for men? Because men aren't culturally supported to seek mental health services. According to this study, men seek help half as often as women. Men suffering in silence is not ok with me. I want to help you be the whole, healthy, complete man you want to be.
